- No work pressure. - Have enough leave and don't need anyone's permission as long as it is planned leave. - Good hike every year when compared to service company like Infosys, Wipro, CTS or TCS. - Every year they provide 51k for certification or distance education irrespective of band.

Cons

- No on-site opportunities. - Politics plays a major role. - Failed to recognize appropriate people in project/Business.

Pros

Generous benefits, stable if you are skilled, if not you may be at risk to be laid off. Which is how it should be.

Cons

Verizon like other large companies is full of bureaucracy, not generous when it comes to investing in employees advancement (at least where I work). Not providing tools necessary to do the work. A lot of folks have been with Verizon for over a decade, which made them complacent and no motivation to learn new skills.
