Absolutely the worst

Pros

Above average amount of PTO. Some opportunities for internal promotions, as long as you don't get on anyone's bad side.

Cons

This company's culture (the one they practice, not the one they preach) is extremely toxic and dysfunctional. Expert employees are undervalued and expected to pick up the slack for the incompetent ones and the unqualified ones they keep hiring. They are constantly laying off experienced people in order to save money and they make no attempt at knowledge transfer. When someone leaves, rather than back-filling the position, they just add their duties to the remaining employees' already-strained workload. Do not work here unless you enjoy being repeatedly set up to fail.

Since 2019, we’ve given all global employees the opportunity to share their insights and feedback confidentially with their direct leaders and the company’s executive leadership team through employee surveys. Leaders use the survey feedback to create action plans designed to improve areas of opportunity, so I would have to disagree with your assessment that there is no point in sharing advice to management. We have seen tremendous improvements across the company when employees take the time to share helpful, insightful advice with management that helps the company progress and creates a more engaging and fulfilling workplace. You also mention that we are “constantly” laying people off and I feel the need to clarify. When the COVID-19 pandemic began and stay-at-home orders and travel restrictions were put in place around the world, our work volume decreased immediately. We had to adjust our workforce size accordingly through both furloughs and layoffs, and we were lucky enough to bring back more than half of those impacted employees within the same year. While not technically a layoff, you may also be referencing the group of less than 20 employees whose roles were deemed redundant after a global acquisition in 2021. Thank you for your time with Verra Mobility.

Pros

Relaxed work environment and dress code.

Cons

Management - After repeated warnings of being understaffed and inefficiencies in the production line, an influx of volume caused 7 months of mandatory overtime resulting in several employees either quitting, transferring to other departments, or injured.

Not A Healthy Company

Pros

In the previous building, there was a food truck available with some tasty eats...

Cons

As noted from previous reviews, there is constant turnover and layoffs - a clear sign of an unhealthy company. I thought I was hired for my skills and abilities, but was promptly laid-off for no reason. I keep seeing the same jobs posted online... Not a surprise they cant fill the positions.
