Unfortunately the company was in a constant state of chaos and transition with multiple rounds of layoffs during the two years I worked there (2010-2012). Often these layoff rounds appeared to be conducted without much assessment of what the staff who were laid off were doing and no plan for how to pass their work on to others- this slowed down productivity significantly. In addition the company is too big for what its management can handle, resulting many operational inefficiencies and in a lack of proper tools, resources and training for employees to do their jobs. Some parts of the company are very technologically advanced and some are stuck in the 90s.

Boys' Club Management: The management is very insular and exclusive. If you aren't friends of someone important, you won't be getting ahead here. Misogyny: this is a rampant problem here locally. It's not nearly as bad elsewhere in the company, where this company excels, but women and enby folk are at a severe disadvantage here locally. Pay is not competitive: Costs of living haven't been fully considered in a pay adjustment in years, even though housing and inflation have cut into take-home pay more and more.
