Pros

I love the culture here! I think Vetsource does a lot to create positivity and wellness for your employees. I love that you all are sending out surveys to gather feedback and make improvements, it makes me feel like I have a voice. I love my team, I think they are ROCKSTARS!! I overall feel like everyone is friendly and willing to help. So from a stand point of collaboration I'm very grateful for that because working remotely poses it's challenges when it comes to trying to find out information. I think the training offered is thorough and engaging. I feel like a part of team even working remotely and enjoy the announcements sent to the company to participate in photo contests and things like disney week. It's a good mix of fun and inclusion for the company.

Cons

Some of my current struggles involve getting answers in a timely manner. My biggest CON is that there is no expectation set to when concerns/ questions will be resolved or answered. This is a generalization for the company as a whole. I can usually get answers quickly from my team, but there are times when they don't know the answer to a question. Then I have to reach out to another department and wait. I have no clear expectation for how long it will take them to respond or if the information will be valid. I receive conflicting information from different departments which can be confusing and frustrating. Getting answers from MOPS in a timely manner is specifically an ongoing issue. It can also be a challenge to get answers from leadership sometimes too. Even management is limited with the answers can provide because often times things have to be escalated up the ladder. Overall, not being able to find answers to unique or complicated questions be difficult to set expectations for a practice. As someone who is the face of Vetsource and building relationships with our customers, I put a lot of pressure on myself to get answers for them in a timely manner. Being that this is a large corporation I understand that the work has to be divided and there are departments to support various things. I feel there has also been a lack of communication when it comes to outlining Strategic initiatives. There is nothing to reference in writing the specifics of these initiatives. Strategic initiatives dictate our compensation plan and without a clear expectation and outline of these compensation plans I feel out of control with how much money I can earn. This creates confusion amongst the team and complicates how to prioritize our day-to-day workload. Receiving a compensation plan that is not clearly defined at the start of the quarter, is unfair. If I had a say at all, I would like to receive this information within the first week of the new quarter. Accountability and communication amongst departments could be improved across the board. Integration is a huge challenge to navigate, it is very complicated (as technology is) and I have many outstanding questions circulating that subject. These are aspects of my role that leave me feeling out of control and helpless at times.
