Pros

- Lack of red tape: management is very supportive of experimenting with new initiatives and folks are given a ton of autonomy to drive positive impact for their clients and the company as a whole. - Feel-good place to work: Via is improving riders' lives (e.g. access to doctor's appointments, the grocery store, or work) and every single person at the company is driving those outcomes forward! - Sharp coworkers: Via has a high bar for hiring, which contributes to an exceptionally bright group of employees. You're guaranteed to regularly think about things in a new way after chatting with coworkers.

Cons

- Tech timelines: Given Via is rapidly growing, timelines on tech initiatives can sometimes be longer than desired -- there are an infinite number of projects the team could be working on, but bandwidth restrictions necessitate strict project prioritization. - Upward mobility: Can be difficult to secure a promotion.

Pros

- thoughtful, driven, empathetic colleagues - inspiring mission - hands-on culture with great learning opportunities

Cons

- at times slightly chaotic with many restructurings of teams (kind of expected at rapid growing firms) - must bring patience when selling/implementing projects with public transit firms, they tend to move slow
