Pros
It's an easy way to get real world experience with law enforcement without having to go through an academy or obtain a security clearance.
Cons
Things change quickly. As someone who is in and out do to military service, every time I leave and come back SOPs and rules of engagement change often. Also, the corporate side of things tends to get in the way and is tedious.
