Pros

Work life balance, team/people are really nice and great to work with

Cons

- Company made many strategic moves that lead to complete failures on top of satellites failing. Not doing well at all. - Layoff incoming - Raise is less than inflation, no incentive to work hard - Corporate Koolaid, gap between high level mgmt and ICs

Pros

Generally cares about its employees. Modern culture. Decent pay.

Cons

Tends to promote based on past loyalties (when they were a smaller company) and based on cliques within different management sectors. As a result, a decent percentage of lower VP and Sr. Director level folks do not have either broad experience at other companies or many years at Viasat, and therefore are in over their heads. Over time you can see the negative affect this has on the company as a whole.
