Pros and Cons

Business Outlook

Pros

Fair compensation, flexible work environment, great benefits.

Cons

Highly political, not much room for growth (9/10 times they will hire external candidates over internal), shady upper management. Seems like no one knows the company's future or direction. Managers do not care about contributors' career growth; most of them are coasting until retirement (i.e., not providing any value but wasting time and energy). Will be down your throat on a $20 travel expense, yet spend $$$$$$$$ on private flights for their executives. Will offer your same position to an external candidate a year later for $40k more in salary, but only give you a $5k bonus. Feels like different business areas are competitors rather than all working for the same team (Viasat).
