Not enough opportunities. Highly unclear, and unfair career development. Unclear because there is no obvious career path, except for perhaps in Sales. Unfair because often times, the career moves have more to do with the hiring managers' personal preference for a particular person, or the candidates relationship to another employee in an influential position, and less to do with their educational and experiential background that qualify them for the role. Highly restrictive, autocratic environment. The very intelligent people who are hired are not entrusted with the capability of doing the work without being micromanaged. The work is unnecessarily made to be stressful because of unrealistic deadlines being set by executives who are far removed from the execution and pre-requisites, and unwillingness to change more than processes to accommodate for workload (such as hiring more people, reorganizing teams or responsibilities, reassessing priorities or getting temporary help).
