Virginia Tech is a fantastic place to work. The people and the atmosphere on a growing college campus make each day a new and exciting challenge. The new administration is very passionate and forward thinking. Both their expansion and multidisciplinary collaboration initiatives will make Virginia Tech an even better place to learn and work. Additionally, the benefits are some of the best in the region.
Cons
As can be expected of working for a state agency, salaries tend to lag behind the industry standard. Also, employees must pay for parking, which is unnecessary given the rural/suburban nature of the Blacksburg Campus.
