Pros

The employees here are valued for their hard work. Great benefits as far as health insurance goes and the town itself is also quite cheap

Cons

As a graduate teaching assistant, once you start working on your thesis 60-80 hour work weeks are the norm. This is the case however for any graduate school and also depends on your advisor.

Pros

If you worked in an interdisciplinary research, you get the opportunity to interact with researchers from different fields

Cons

If you doing your PhD, sometimes your research assistantship work load is high and takes time from you own research that you should get your PhD for.
