Thank you for taking the time to raise your concerns, we are surprised and of course concerned by the comments raised within your post. Whilst we note that you no longer work at CGG, we would still like to encourage you to come and talk with us so we can gain an understanding of your experiences.

Pros

- The only real pro to working at CGG is that the pay is reasonable, although pay has been frozen for a few years now.

Cons

- Career opportunities are very limited. The role of a Geo/Project/Senior is essentially the same. You might reach Senior after 5 years but have no where to go from there. - Management have no reliable way of recognising good performance. This means that the people who shout the loudest get rewarded the most. This is not good for retaining skilled employees who feel undervalued. - The work is repetitive, uninspiring and unrewarding. - So many people have left that CGG have been forced to start recruiting again, although you would have to be very desperate to accept a job offer here at this point.
