      Amazing and helpful colleagues. Supportive management. Flexible schedules. Working one on one with students.

      Mediocre pay. Very difficult to get full-time work (VLACS is upfront about this).

      They act like relationships are important but having no say on curriculum makes it impossible to connect with your students the way a teacher should.

      Cons

      Pay is very low. No flexibility in hours worked. You need to be available the same time every week with no exceptions.
