Pros

There is some real talent here at the individual contributor level and is some areas of management and leadership.

Cons

There truly doesn't seem to be an attention paid to how poor some of the managers are or how week some of the leadership is. The focus from the top is on making money. Okay, how much more could you be making if folks in some areas weren't beaten down on a regular basis and weren't having to deal with ineffective management/leadership. Our CEO asked on the most recent Global call if we are all having fun because he sure is. That shows just how disconnected he really is. The Tell Dell survey took place recently too. I know some managers were actually discouraging their people from participating or being honest if they did - strongly hinting that it wouldn't truly be confidential.

Pros

The occasional work from home is a good benefit. Ability to work on a modern stack and diverse technology products is a career-booster. The cloud space is exciting and a powerful resume-builder and a relevant experience for applying to companies such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.

Cons

- Considerable amount of favoritism and nepotism among upper levels of management. - Inability to differentiate those with real skills and contributions from those who talk the talk. - Daily political chatter and backstabbing. More than once you'll be called into someone's office and yelled at, including derogatory terms and profanities. - HR is a rubber stamp for management, absolutely no interest in keeping talent in. - Technology has some great potential, but the real problem is management. If you're a talented engineer, look elsewhere for growth - Amazon is just around the corner in Arlington, VA.
