Pros

Work hours are generally flexible. Generous vacation policy. Decent bonus program. Good functional training opportunities are available (finding the time to take advantage of them is another story). Visa has a good brand image and name recognition in the marketplace.

Cons

Weak cross-organizational communication; too many silos. Rewards and recognition programs have been cut back. Most company sponsored staff events have been eliminated. Decision making appears driven by short-term objectives (i.e. quarterly reporting).

Visa has turned into a true corporate nightmare - Sr Management shielded with lies, while mngmt walks out knowledge

Pros

Leader in payments business is an advantage for anyone's resume. Vacation time plus holidays. Business travel for International flights is also an advantage.

Cons

Loss of knowledgeable people make it extremely difficult to build out products that won't take down core systems or allow V to clearly track profitability. Cronies get hired with little to no payment system experiance and fear of job loss is impacting ability to work collaboratively across functional groups. Siloed environments are rampent and Sr. management is shielded from truth. Retirement plan, 401K and medical plans are cut, bludgeoned and cost prohibitive now. Short term goals are going to bring down Visa as Management does not care about long term goals since they will not be around.

Pros

Don't need to be an expert in anything. If your face fits your made. Don't need experience, just a big echo, a big mouth and no friends.

Cons

HR is the bully machine of the organisation. Emails each day targeting people and forget any trust. Forget ever reporting anything you see. The "whistle blower process" is designed to shoot the postman and cover-up. If the Banks (shareholders) only knew what lies being the marketing machine. Do not work here.
