      OK but too often they hire in from outside, and many did not work out because the Visa culture is very difficult

      Pros

      Good pay, good benefits. Working with most individuals is great. Most everyone takes pride in what they do. Everyone is conscience of the fact that they are at a very visible company.

      Cons

      The culture is extremely difficult. Even though Visa went public it is still a highly bureaucratic environment and way too political. Much of your time will be spent ensuring the right people are pleased rather than finding the right solution. And do not cross anyone. The employee evaluation process is open to all senior managers to give their opinion of you. And if you upset one of them it will continue to come back and haunt you in performance reviews, salary increases and bonuses, as well as promotions.

      Pros

      very friendly colleagues, always eager to help. Lots of interesting new projects and working on the latest technology.

      Cons

      Lack of proper career path for employees, slow to resolve employee issues.
