Pros

I truly enjoyed many people that I worked with day to day.

Cons

Things may have changed since I worked there in 2016, but the benefits were absolute garbage. Didn’t get a single day of PTO until you’d been there for a year. My grandpa died and my managers didn’t told me that I was eligible for bereavement (I assumed I wasn’t since I didn’t get PTO) and therefore thought i would just not get paid for a day. Didn’t find out until after the funeral I could have got two days for it. No 401k. My manager had the type of mentality that I wouldn’t move up if I wasn’t working well over 40 hours a week.

I love that the company give you so much support with the onboarding process. They always have the best resources at your fingertips, always ask if you need any additional help/ support. This was hands down the best onboarding experience I have ever had.

I have had the priviledge of working for GREAT hotel management companies. But, it taken me over 30 years in hotel management to find MY PEOPLE and THE BEST COMPANY I have ever had the honor of working with! Vista Host - from the support team (Evan Studer, Michael Gulotty, Kathy Long, Madie Setzer & more) to every other individual possesses these characteristics: -Class -High level of character -Doing the Right Thing -Ongoing Training -Devoted to promoting from within -Setting our hotels apart with "Vista Host Points of Difference" - to be the first choice, highest guest-service rated hotels in our market -There was never a box - they manage to the individual and truly care about their entire team. This buids inexplicable loyalty and drive. -They LISTEN and HEAR you -Passion -Kindness -Compassion -Abide by the "Golden Rules of Leadership" - praise publicy and admonishing privately -Operate at a higher level (if you thrive on an environment of petty gossip, not being productive and working in a toxic environment - this is NOT the company for you). -They CELEBRATE your wins! -They COACH you through teacheable moments (without any shame or embarrasment) I will NEVER consider any other company now that I have experienced the BEST for 6 years. I thought companies like this just didn't exist, but I have learned THEY DO and VISTA HOST is this company!

That I couldn't live longer to work for Vista Host even longer!
