Pros

The only pros I have for working at this company would be some of my colleagues.

Cons

It is such a shame as it could be a very good company to work for however it is not at all, they fire people left right and centre for no apparent reason and the turnover of staff is super high! This should definitely be a massive red flag to people thinking of joining them. When I worked there for a short amount of time I saw 6 people come and go from the department I was working in which is a sign it is not run well. They micromanage you even when doing a good job and treat you like a child, there’s no room for progression unless your a favourite. They tend to promote favourites who seem to have no experience within the industry or that particular managerial role. There have been many times when you are told the process of a task by one department and then it either changes and your not told or another department says that’s the wrong way to do it they are constantly contradicting themselves which confuses you massively when trying to work hard and follow processes correctly. Even when you do a good job or work hard I feel you aren’t praised enough or appreciated for the work you have done. Some of the customers and clients can be really nasty to you on the phone and I know you need to remain professional, however they don’t back their staff at all and just expect you to bend over backwards for them. The atmosphere working there is awkward as you can’t speak at all even when you have done the work asked of you, you would get told off for talking and no phones are allowed at all.

Pros

There are no pros !

Cons

Hired after jumping through multiple hurdles at the interview stage, worked for just over a month and without one warning I was let go. The company offered no valid explanation into why I was fired, citing lateness (9.03am login on 1 day of the 15 I worked there. My line manager was a miserable woman with no interest in conversation, we worked in complete silence. The office is awkward and music/ phones are probibited, unless ofcourse you are a in a senior position. On the bright side, during my termination meeting, I was told I would be a valuable asset to another company? Adding further confusion to the fact I was let go. This company is shambolic, they buy cheap artisan furniture from china and sell it here overpriced . Do everything in your power to avoid this company.

Pros

None. I would stay way from this company if I were you.

Cons

There's rampant discrimination in the workplace of Visual Comfort & Co. I don't recommend working here because the managers don't look at the performance of the employees. Instead, they try to feel if they can befriend you and eventually manipulate you. Otherwise, you won't get the recognition you deserve and get any opportunities for advancement.
