Pros

None. RUN AS FAST AS POSSIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cons

Supervisor always tired and grouchy. Not a team environment unless you have been there years. Constant political talk and bashing of the president of the United States of America. Does not explain anything just does it. While I was was suppose to be trained or observed I was not. I was running instruments alone. I was never trained on an entire block of expectations. I was told I was performing good by most techs and should be signed off on etc etc. I was told by QC manger training is usually a 6 month ordeal then management said because of my previous experience I should have completed this all within 90 days. Whenever I would come in I was sent straight to the flow room alone no supervision, I would run flow NOT SIGNED OFF for 1st shift. NO TRAINING AT ALL NO FEEDBACK except from one tech. This is not the future of stem cell therapy. The techs take shortcuts. Tell you to do something a certain way then do it a totally different way. Watched techs forge other techs initials. Techs do not know the difference between immature neutrophils and lymphs. Compared to the the hematology analyzer everyone was way off by over 20. I was told I was under performing and due to my previous experience I should be excelling. One of the areas I was never trained on, the other area I was fully competent (told I was not competent but if you go back and look at all the flow sheets I ran them!), and the third area I had roughly 5 times to do. Whenever someone was too busy I was sent into a corner to read SOP's for hours while the other tech talked about her sexual conquests.

Pros

Saving lives each and every day. Sharing knowledge and confidence in your team and donors.

Cons

You cannot voice yourself about anything that happens inside company walls. Poor communication throughout company . Any questions or concerns are always dismissed and never appreciated. Only negative is reviewed to the employee instead of any positive enactment the employee has made. Bare minimum benefits. If you have children, plan far in advance if you encouter an urgent matter/illness. Even if you call in for your sick children, you will still be dinged on attendance, so please be warned. Policies and structure have never stayed consistent. Upper management fails to advocate for their employees. Being employeed for over a decade and still getting pushed to the side. This company is NON UNION = employees are a number. (It's not what you know, its who you know). Choose wisely if you wish to be employeed by this corporation.
