Pros
I’ve had a great experience so far as a Project Planner. Even though I’m still relatively new in the role, it’s already stood out as the best overall career experience I’ve had in my 20 years of professional work.
What really sets this role apart is the balance. The culture is genuinely positive and supportive, and you’re surrounded by people who want to see you succeed. There’s a strong focus on development—coaching, feedback, and growth opportunities are consistently present, not just talked about.
At the same time, the earning potential is very real for those willing to put in the work, and the level of autonomy is a huge plus. You’re trusted to manage your time, build relationships, and take ownership of your results, which makes the work both challenging and rewarding.
If you’re someone who values a strong team environment, personal growth, and the opportunity to control your income, I’d highly recommend this role.
Cons
Not necessarily a con, but just something to be aware of: there’s lot of driving and making your daily calls is not built into the schedule. Those are required, which makes sense, but you’ll need to find time to do them before or after your appointments for the day.
