Pros

It's a pretty aggressive commission rate from what I understand. Great team of homies who have each others' backs when the going gets tough. Solid Awardco perks that come aside from aight pay.

Cons

$8/hour. So if you don't sell, you're not getting anywhere. Sometimes it feels like the way the call router is built punishes underperformers. So if you have a bad week converting calls into sales, you're not going to get calls, and the fewer calls you get, the fewer chances at a sale you'll get. So you'd have to claw you're way back to a respectable position on the call router to be able to make sales.

Pros

Our sales reps provide the very best in home security solutions for families and property all while developing skills they will need for a successful professional life in any industry. The ability to communicate effectively is by far the most powerful tool in the world. "Words are spells that’s why they call it spelling." -Bruce Lee The very best way to learn the skill is to have as many conversations with as many people as possible. The more difficult the conversion the better. Our sales reps talk to more people in one summer than some people talk to in thier entire life! It is impossible to not become an above average communicator doing this job. The longer you do it the better you get. 16 years of traditional education got me to a skill level earning a c- in college public speaking. Working door to door at Vivint is what ultimately trained my communication skills to a professional level for me to be effective in the workforce. The development of my communication skills selling door to door has been the most valuable experience of my life.

Cons

Like most things worth doing in life a sales job at VIVINT is hard. At the same time we can successfully train anyone to be successful at VIVINT and anyone can do it as long as they are willing to work hard, have a good attitude, and be trainable.
