Took away their best benefit- their hybrid work schedule. These guys no longer have work life flexibility. Out of all the changes NRG made, this got people the most fired up. Everyone here is LIVID I think I saw a NRG hat in the trash today. No one is happy about the RTO. We have Fridays still, but honestly that Wednesday meant everything for moral. I personally used to brag about NRG’s great worklife balance and was a pretty happy camper here. Managers telling us to be the example and be positive about it was met with eye rolls. Lots of coworkers are mentioning quiet quitting and dusting off their resumes. Not one coworker was happy about this change. If you are looking at this company- keep looking. They’ve been slowly cutting benefits and this is their best one. Lots of changes. They don’t listen or ask for employee input because no one wanted this. They say it’s for better collaboration but all my coworkers are fully remote or in a whole other building and finding an open conference room is a battle every. Single. Day. It’s so noisy with open seating my best work was done on Wednesday. I’m really disappointed and hope they will reconsider. Moral was bleak today.
