Pros
Change in CEO means the company is starting to make strides towards re-invigorating the current brand while investing more time and care into developing emerging technologies and concepts. New CEO is about transparency and autonomy. The company is returning back to it's start-up roots. I work in a basic position but we have recently been empowered to push for new ideas and to make things happen. I love the "just do it" attitude and creative freedom we are finally able to have to make positive changes happen quicker. It's still a struggle to make things move fast, but at least it's getting there. The people truly make this company great. You'll find no finer group of talented, fun, and amazing individuals elsewhere.
Cons
While slowly leaning towards autonomy, Volusion still has an air of "corporate" about it. Much needed changes are either taking years to push through or may never come at all because corporate never approves anything. Employees are held to unintuitive performance standards where ultimately quantity is more valuable than quality. We do not often get the opportunity to pause and think of new ideas, but luckily that is slowly changing. It's a shame we lose extremely talented, and wonderful people to similar companies that pay more (about 25-35% more). Volusion pays one of the lowest rates in the industry and talent is leaving because of it.
