Pros

I've worked at Volusion for almost 2 years now, and I'm personally still as happy now as when I started. First off, I think Volusion has an amazing work culture. I've worked at companies in the past that have truly struggled in this area. Our culture blows them out of the water. I mean we get to bring our dogs to work every Friday. Come on! Free ice cream and frequent catered breakfasts/lunches and a ton of volunteer/charity opportunities. I do think Volusion takes care of their employees and cares about their success. I know that work life balance varies from department to department here, but if I'm rating the entire company I think overall we've got it pretty good.

Cons

We definitely had our struggles last year (specifically the last quarter). We lost some good employees because of it. I think we realized we had to make some changes, so our founder decided to come back in as our CEO. Since then, we've been having frequent town hall style meetings (with breakfast tacos) where he answers pretty raw questions employees have about the organization and suggests solutions for some challenges we're having. Overall, we're preaching a new culture of autonomy and visibility. That's a really good sign.

Pros

There is plenty of opportunity for an Ecommerce Consultant to succeed. It is purely a numbers game. You put in the work and and there is a good chance you do well. Great co-workers and a wonderful atmosphere. Watch out though or you might get hit with a Nerf dart. :)

Cons

If you work hard and show that you care than there won't be any cons. You control your own destiny here.

Pros

Volusion goes out of its way to create a fun, creative workplace environment for its employees. Beer Fridays, free ice cream/snack machines, catered lunches, and the occasional food trucks are some of the many non-traditional perks. You'll also meet a lot of very great people here.

Cons

In my experience, the cons vary greatly on the department one works in. I've met folks in other departments who seem to enjoy their jobs very much. Many of the folks working in CE (tech support), however, are underpaid and have a general dislike for the position. Because of that, there are constant "fun" activities made available for them as a substitute. However, Volusion hires some great people to fill these roles.
