Pros

The site has undergone a lot of turnover in the last several years which has made it ripe for a culture shift The salary and benefits are very good for the industry and the area The company has a long standing reputation which provides confidence in long term job stability

Cons

The turnover has left a mix of new folks trying to still work on changing rhe behaviors and attitudes held by older management and engineers The old thinking and attitudes has resulted in lack of documentation, clear procedures, and standard practices. This can make it difficult for newer folks to learn the status quot, especially early career engineers Recent org changes have reduced total head count making career growth options less clear. Opportunities exist but it requires greater flexibility and movement than industry standard

Pros

schedule, pay, benefits, very few individuals that do care for the plant.

Cons

Management across all departments displays a high level of incompetence when addressing issues that could enhance overall plant efficiency. There is a bullying mentality within management; they fail to uplift employees and instead keep them down. The plant's atmosphere can be demoralizing over time. Morale is consistently low here. Management is promoted because they have been there awhile not for skills and leadership qualities. Internal disputes between operations and maintenance are incessant, further diminishing morale and keeping the plant from moving forward. Problems on all levels are seldom fixed; instead, band-aids are applied to maintain operational flow. The training system, is subpar. Environmental issues are overlooked, housekeeping is virtually nonexistent, and Aging equipment lacks proper maintenance.

Pros

I am fully remote, but that is rare. Grace is generally Hybrid friendly if it makes sense for your position.

Cons

Lots of turnover. Difficult to recruit and retain good talent. Often want positions to move to Maryland, but nobody wants to move to Maryland. Most of the talent pool is on the Gulf.
