      Pros

      - The people used to be the best asset and reason WD was successful. However, with the constant restructuring and reorganization (better word for downsizing), many good experienced, skilled and talented folks are gone. - Compensation and benefits used to be in par or above-average within the same industry. However, recent years has seen this area going from ok to bad to worst. - Applaud the effort of bringing some work-life balance culture and trust to the employees. - Various facilities has been well kept and long due upgrades have been made to brighten things up a little.

      Cons

      - getting more and more hierarchical. Politics gone from bad to worst. Who you know is more important than what your value, experience, skills and contribution is worth. - to get promoted or rewarded well and obtaining "visibility" is about how good a "show" you can put on when presenting to management (if you are given a chance). Similarly, heroism is still the path to getting glory and a career path. - attempts to promote transparencies in management decisions and communication did not fly well.
