      Profitability, long-term viability, and challenging work are real plusses at WD. The technical capabilities and dedication of all employees are the hallmark of the teamwork you see every day.

      Cons

      The company's focus on the financials often asks more than reasonable contributions from the employee population, like expecting employees to spend their vacation as they earn it. It disregards employees' desires to plan their vacation time in larger chunks than what they earn in a fiscal quarter.

      * No merit increases * It appears as if you have threaten to quit to get promoted / raise * Management by negative reinforcement appears to be the norm. Instead of convincing someone to do something by providing a positive reinforcement, the use of write-ups and terminations appears to be the norm.
