Pros

Interesting technical aspects of work, if you work for good group. Employee stock option plan is also something that keeps a lot of engineers there.

Cons

Lack of parking. Employees get a lot of parking tickets. Cube sharing with two or more employees, that is if you get the cube. Noisy, especially in the lab, very difficult to concentrate. Meetings conducted in hallways. Place looks often dirty, toilets, break rooms, personal workspace. No good drinking water - only tap water - delivery became too expensive. Schedules are on purpose shortened to make you work weekends, sometimes for several months. Lack of respect/trust for employees.

Pros

One of the largest employer in the country. Very good business growth, making one of the most financially stable firms in the industry. Good compensation for high performance. Employee stock options are a good investment Recently launched employee purchase program really benefits employees and makes us feel privileged to be part of the company.

Cons

Work hour policy for executive level is supposed to be flexible, but some conditions to it are still strict. Much due to the nature of being a manufacturing plant. Work-life imbalance due to the required working hours and production schedules. Lacks good facility planning, often seen by the constant relocation of departments and offices within current premise. Not much corporate responsibility activities which involves employees in the past few years, compared to US and Thailand sites. Doesn't encourage much interaction between employees outside the context of work. Work ethics are a bit too strong sometimes, creating a tense working environment. Coming into the plant feels like being cut off from the outside world, due to the lack of easy access to various media.
