      Competitive salaries and benefits, Great bonus program great employee lounge good work atmosphere,at least in Engineering Department

      Cons

      hard to get raise and/or promotion bonus program curtailed in favor of paying dividends upper management direction not clear and changed a lot layoffs put strain on morale (guess it does that everywhere)

      Immediate group are a great group of people to work with. Decent salary and flexible.

      Cons

      Vision changes too often. Lack of definitive answers leaves projects hanging for months on end. True understanding of how a product goes to market with upper management is absent.

      Lots to learn: -Firmware -ASIC Design -Digital Signal processing -Electricity and magnetism -Control systems -Aero engineering -Mechanical engineering -Materials engineering -Data management and flow WD is a great place for new grads to get exposure to the dynamics of a global giant. The theory behind hard drive engineering is extremely interesting.

      Cons

      -Long work hours -90% of projects get canceled -aggressive deadlines -depressing environment -terrible bonuses (very small amount) -raises are not given often -WD is stingy
