Pros

There are generally great people with whom to work with a good benefits package, which can include RSUs, Options, and cash bonuses. Great atmosphere; decent office space in good Irvine location.

Cons

Some of the company is in flux due to the possibility of merging its two current subsidiaries--WD and HGST, which is being held up by China's government getting into the antitrust game.

Western Digital (Irvine, CA) is a good place to work. Good people. Good facility. Fair pay. They have decent benefits.

Cons

The company rides the tides of the PC market and the growing Cloud storage industries. As the market goes, so goes WD. The customers of WD have ups and downs, and so does WD.
