Pros

* Knowledgeable peers and managers with ability to provide guidance. * Willingness to adapt to change, which can be difficult in many working cultures. * Flexibility in work schedule; allowing in-office start times based personal schedule, which I found very valuable.

Cons

* Insure that you inform new hires that you DO NOT give merit annual increases. Annual increases occur only when WD does a competitive overview, which is about every four or five years. Therefore, please understand that WD does not give annual merit increases.

Pros

Made some friends - some technical talent is first-rate. Rank and file engineers are hard-working.

Cons

Middle-level management is insular, non-technical. Lot of layers of management. Too many meetings. HR is poor, almost non-existent. Micro-management. Resistant to new ideas.

Pros

Stable Company Good pay + benefits Positive corporate culture focused one employee happiness, for example, they recently increased vacation time and also started ordering better coffee in reply to employee suggestions.

Cons

Turnover seemed pretty high which made consistency on projects difficult There really aren't any other cons I can think of, they're a really good company and I enjoyed working for them
