Pros

Good pay and benefits and locations.

Cons

No vacation pay. Asked to work weekends for the month preceding getting laid off. David Berbessou SVP said it was consistent with silicon valley work culture to make employees work the weekends leading up to them getting laid off.

Pros

WDC culture used to be good, wasn't perfect but the direction was sound.

Cons

Complete chaos with new CEO and his Cisco team. Unprofessional and toxic. CEO is out of touch and doesn't connect with employees at all. CEO seems more concerned about his personal brand than the company he came to lead. We dont hear from him in the countries and seems like his leadership is all afraid of him and fighting for their jobs. He can talk to us as engineers but he is clueless to the business. the team he brought makes it terrible place to work. Not WD or how Sandisk used to be. He doesnt talk to press and industry to help WD.
