Pros

- New Office - Competitive Salaries and benefits.

Cons

- No Clear direction from management - Product features are launched without involvement from Analytics and DS - Zero Diversity - No culture - Most people have never worked outside of Whoop - The product is useful only if you are an athlete or if your life revolves around your fitness. For the average person, it's not that useful, and very expensive.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and experiences during your time at WHOOP. We value feedback from current and former team members as it helps us identify areas where we can improve and create a better working environment for everyone. We are glad you appreciated some of the positive aspects of working here, such as our new office, competitive salaries, and benefits. Creating a comfortable and attractive workspace and environment is essential for fostering a productive atmosphere, and we continuously strive to offer competitive compensation packages to attract and retain top talent. This year, we established company-wide and departmental OKRs, a “WHOOP Map” to guide product features and technical advancements, and a long-term strategic vision. To that end, we have to respectfully disagree that there is no clear direction from management or that features are launched without cross-functional input, as the above initiatives were all created and fully imagined as a cross-functional, company-wide effort. Regarding your feedback about diversity, while we again respectfully disagree that there is “zero diversity” at WHOOP, we do acknowledge that there is always room to improve our DE&I strategy and initiatives - and this is a significant priority for the company as we understand that a diverse and inclusive workplace is crucial for fostering creativity, innovation, and overall employee satisfaction. We appreciate your candid feedback and would like to extend an invitation to discuss your concerns further in person if you are open to it. Please feel free to contact us at people@whoop.com to arrange a meeting.

Remote work options unfair

Pros

The new office is great. Beautiful views in great location.

Cons

Some people are hired remotely. Some commute from the west coast every other week. Some people lived in Boston and went on to buy a house elsewhere. There is 0 consistency in policy and seems to be based on favorites. Some that started years ago were never given the option to negotiate this, and its changed the course of big life decisions. Yes, some roles require being hands on in the office. But not all.

Thank you for taking the time to share your review on Glassdoor. We appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to address your concerns. We are glad to hear that you appreciate the new office with its beautiful views and great location. There's really nothing like having lunch on the 8th-floor patio! Thank you for your feedback regarding our hybrid work policy. This policy is designed to recognize that flexibility is key to fostering a healthy work-life balance, enhancing employee well-being, and promoting productivity. It also allows for consistent in-office time to maximize teamwork, collaboration, and innovation. The policy allows for Boston-based corporate employees to work from home two days a week and from the office three days a week. You are correct that some employees were hired as remote employees, and while they travel to Boston with regularity, they do not live in the Greater Boston Area. When an employee has personal circumstances and, therefore, a request that falls outside the parameters of this hybrid work policy, we encourage them to reach out to their Manager and People Business Partner so that a mutually beneficial solution that aligns with both the personal requirements of the employee and the company's overall objectives can be achieved. We encourage you to continue sharing your thoughts and suggestions so that we can better understand and address the concerns of our team members. We can be reached at people@whoop.com.
