Pros

Great connections and a relatively nice working environment with lots of young and motivated people striving towards similar goals

Cons

It's very highly competitive and there are some people in the company who would rather murder you than watch you leap frog them into a promotion

Pros

The connections made at WME will last your entire life if you are there for 6 months or a year or more. I am still in contact with the group I started with and we are all at different companies within entertainment. You will pick up the skills you need to do any desk assistant job. It is a wonderful thing to have on your resume.

Cons

They treat you like animals and pay you dirt at assistant level. The hollywood agency, "treat your assistant like crap" culture is still alive. There are a handful of agents who are above it but you really have no choice when coming out of the mailroom. HR will not help you, its dog eat dog so when you get a desk you take it regardless of the agents personality.
