Pros
Very social, fun environment Interesting clients, content, and opportunities Great chance to learn the entertainment landscape- think of it as "paid grad school" and the LOW salary will hurt a bit less Ample opportunity to move laterally and experience different departments/tasks
Cons
Zero work/life balance Very low pay Aggressive environment- prepare to get screamed at, overworked, and screwed over by superiors and peers alike Value system- if you don't live and breath entertainment, this likely isn't worth it to you

Pros
- You get to know the entertainment biz (music, TV, digital...) - You learn to be a TOP assistant (you'll own the basics: phones, calendar, problem solving, common sense, multitasking, prioritizing, staying organized) - Lot's of training (they go over phone etiquette, contracts training, software training) - Lot's of events you can go to (concerts, shows, events...) - You get to work with famous people - You learn about what's next and coming up in entertainment before others do - From WME it's easier to get a job elsewhere as opposed to vice versa... - WME |IMG is HUGE. If you become an agent you have so many resources around you... For example if your client is interested in modeling you can connect them with an agent in the IMG side... or if your client wants to go to a WWE event you set them up since WME represents WWE. The agency and its network just keeps growing. - lots of motivation events.they set up lunches with agents where a top agent shares their experience and you can ask questions. there's also the all company meeting which is nice... and the holiday party which is fancy! - Summer Friday's (every other Friday is a half day in the summer) - Free lunch on Fridays - If you can get a floater to cover for you it's rather easy getting a day off. Planned carefully you should be fine... but if you don't anticipate it will be hard to get a Friday off to go to coachella or something...
Cons
- sooooo little pay :( Think working in fast food - if you fit in with everyone you'll do great! If not, it's a grind - do your work well or else! It's so easy to get let go as there are so many others who can replace you... - if you're lucky you get a nice boss. Otherwise you can get someone intense and everyday will be a grind and it will tax every ounce of patience and professionalism you've got. - depending on the department you're in (music being the most intense) you'll work LOOONG HOURS. However, in the departments other than music, they're limiting each workday to 10 hours. Which means you've gotta work faster and make sure you don't fall behind. - office politics. I mean, steer clear of it and you should be fine - right? maybe... good luck. - few people make it coordinator and then to agent. I'm putting it as a con because it's so selective. you most likely won't get it unless you're like a total superstar/popular/you've got a perfect work record. But i don't know...
