Location for some engineering positions is cedar rapids iowa. Expect cold, nasty winters and flooding, high winds or tornadoes throught the year. Very unsafe driving conditions over winter if you need to commute even a short distance. For an iowa town, crime in the area is respectable. Local, state, county, and federal government and law enforcement in the area have an important role in this area, and make a definite impact on the community and in the news. The company has strong specialized technical talent in train control, software, test, project management, and systems engineering. Most of the staff are very experienced well rounded healthy people. However, there is a psychopath (yes, a psychopath) in a management position on one end of the building that the company does not reign in. Screaming and crying are often heard through a closed door on that end of the building. Utter silence is fairly prevalent througout that area otherwise.
