Business Outlook
Pros
Small company (in the region I'm in) so feels flexible and adaptable. Roles have a lot of breadth and opportunity for employees to define the work. Culture is close, everyone knows each other and helps each other out - good empathetic leaders. No issues with flexible working as long as work gets done. Hands on approach to issues - people want to get involved, uncover the root cause and fix. Not brushed aside or covered up.
Cons
Parental leave non-existent (outside of mandatory government policies). A lot of hiring seems to be based on relationships rather than open to the market - can give a slightly nepotistic feel to the company. Business processes, project controls are primitive.
