      Pros

      Lots to learn since Locomotives are a complex electro-mechanical system with computer control. The people are great to work with, and have much experience to share.

      Cons

      Recent downsizing, but steady future.

      Pros

      The company and employees do their diligence to make the best possible products. They hire employ experts and management keeps employee goals & objectives aligned well with the management, division, and company.

      Cons

      Challenging to meet needs of final end user as well as direct paying customer when they don't agree. Requires patience and tact.

      Pros

      It's cool to build locomotives.

      Cons

      Mandatory overtime for months on end (50-60 hours a week). Some manufacturing lines work 12 hours a day, 13 days in a row, two days off then start again. Little or no chance for advancement. You can expect to get a $1 raise every 5 years.
