      Pros

      Great company stock ownership program. Excellent insurance.

      Cons

      Upper management will lie to you to keep you to “stay put.” They will dangle a dollar bill in front of you and tell you are going to get promoted. It’s always a little while longer. Zero work life balance unless you get promoted. The money you make as a unit manager (roughly $75k) is nowhere near worth the amount of time you put in a week (60 hours +). Don’t let the recruiter lie to you. It’s not a 50 hour work week. Its 60+. Theres a reason that Waffle House is always hiring Manager Trainees.

      Can have nice customers, that’s it.

      Cons

      They take $3 from your check for every shift you work for food, even when you don’t eat. They will inexplicably cut your hours. They will allow people to bully you and abelism is RIPE in this buisness. If you’re autistic or otherwise mentally or physically disable you will be bullied. People will be mad at you for being disabled because you “slow them down”. You will not hear back from management after reporting bullies. You will not see any improvement. You are responsible for all the dishes as a server, all the customers, etc. If you experience bigotry don’t even think about saying anything or you’re in the wrong. Even if you’re just telling them that they should be kinder to strangers. Oh, and to cap it all off the pay is ABYSMAL for the amount of work that’s expected of you. I would rate this 0 stars if I could.
