Pros

Excellent benefits. Partnership bonus. 6 months paid leave for 25 years service. Ticket subsidy 50% upto £60 a year off concert tickets.

Cons

I have worked at a few branches in different region and the same factors are in place. Inexperienced management from section management all the way up to branch management level. If you work in a department that covers the coffee machines prepared to be spoken to like utter rubbish from the customers.

Pros

Partnership, everyone is an owner in the business. Partner discount - 15% Waitrose, 12-25% in John Lewis, plus a very wide range of national and local discounts and subsidies.

Cons

Frequent managerial turnover and (understandable) sickness from stress contributes to a environment of somewhat uncertainty, especially with regard to progress and personal development. This also impacts day to day operation negatively.
