Pros

Easy braindead work. Anyone can do it.

Cons

One of the managers is a bully, called me uneducated and accused me of threatening to hit him. (For context, I have never in my life been in a fight. The accusation is so far from my character) I became incredibly depressed. Most people there are very rude and turn their nose up at you. Insanely micromanaged, they know what you are up to to the second. I was asked why i signed in exactly 1 minute late (I wasn't even late, I had to queue up to collect my equipment which rolled over 1 min into my shift)

Forget Even Thinking About Joining Waitrose

Pros

The only good thing I can think of is the cameraderie of the staff.

Cons

Gestapo style Management and Policies, Sanctioned Illegal practices under the guise of "Policy". (in the misguided idea that Policy overwrites UK Employment Law). "Simpler Shops" is a joke that is only designed to disguise oppressive Employee practices, whilst being the lowest pay structure in the Industry, all for the name "Partner" (that in real terms means nothing).
