Pros

It is great to be a part of a company that has a bonus scheme and has a wide range of benefits attached to it. Colleagues are like family and you have a real sense of togetherness in the work place. It is a great place to work for flexibility. You can do part time hours and have the opportunity to do over time and if you have appointments etc. you can make up your hours. Depending on your personality, you can achieve a lot in Waitrose. There are many different roles in a convenience store and the option id there for you to have a o and be trained at all roles (fresh, bakery, operations, checkouts)

Cons

Management are not always great at giving you a THANK YOU for going above and beyond your duties or even a WELL DONE when you have excelled at your job. Instead they focus on the negatives. When you do something wrong out of human error, they are so quick to penalise you for it. When you are experiencing difficulties because of illnesses, in a convenience store there is not much you can do as you generally on your feet for your whole shift. When you are ill or have childcare issues management should be more supportive and not make you feel guilty for issues that are outside of your control.
