I really loved working with the children. There were also a lot of other teachers who were wonderful to work with.

Cons

WCPSS treats all of their teachers like crap. They are unpaid and overworked and concerns are blown off.It is ridiculous the amount of work they require from you for such very little pay. I made below the poverty level for my state as a Teacher's Assistant.

Pay compared to other states Recent uncertainty at central office and school board level Initiatives come and go with very little follow through or appropriate training (but that is part of education, too)
