Not the company it once was

Pros

Most people are friendly and there is plenty of knowledge to go around from people who've been there for a long time

Cons

Not the place it once was. They used to thrive on promoting from within, now they just he managers and directors for every position or made up department. Although they don't compete with others compensation wise but it was a good, friendly place to work with some work life balance, but now it's neither. You are underpaid and overworked. Upper management is out of touch pretending to care about the people but it's literally there way or no way and just trying to force their idea of "culture" and "fun" down everyone's throats and just expect everyone to cheer and applaud.

Pros

This was once a great place to work. Good benefits, staff and colleagues are mostly great people. Plenty of career lifers with 20+ years at Wakefern. That is no longer the case.

Cons

- New management is way out of touch. - Tech division has no direction. Upper management alludes to a “plan”, but only provide vague details, devoid of any real substance. - Work/Life balance is the worst it’s ever been. - Company is pushing new “culture” that no one is asking for. Lots of fluff and buzz words that mean absolutely nothing to people. - There’s an aging workforce, nearing retirement age, with no plans in place for knowledge transfer or replacement. - No urgency from management to hire and replace associates who have left, leaving remaining staff to pick up the pieces. - Don’t even think about promotions or raises.
