      Started as a sales assistant and progressed to a flagship store manager

      Pros

      Good development programme for managers. Always busy in stores and a high focus on customer service. Wide range of stores and job roles so there are lots of opportunities to work in new places or do a different job.

      Cons

      The stores are understaffed which puts pressure on managers and staff when they are asked to deliver great customer care with little support. You are seen as just a number rather than a person, so there is not much job security.

      Is a very good place to network. Able to jump around from on job to another if you are based in Nottingham.

      Cons

      Constantly organisational restructuring for field roles, communications are poorly executed, a lot of uncertainty since the past three years which continues

      Pros

      Well paid for a weekend job, staff discount is really good on boots and non-boots products, more interesting working on healthcare than other retail jobs.

      Cons

      Breaks are really long so have to spend a lot of extra time at work, retail work so have to stand all day, can be disorganised when it comes to paying for overtime.
