Pros

The scale of operations offers excellent opportunities to do projects and programs across the country (including PR). The business sells numerous goods and services which when combined with the national scale make for a diverse set of experiences available to Walgreen's team members looking to stretch themselves and gain new experiences.

Cons

In my particular experiences, politics determined who moved up into higher roles rather than leadership and value creation. The WBA Headquarters in Deerfield is not optimal for commuting from most suburbs 10 or more miles to the west and south, including Chicago (due to rush hour congestion). What is Walgreen's doing that cannot be replaced by an app with a secure/efficient inventory delivery service?
