Cons

Not much room for growth, labor hours get cut frequently, store managers are out of touch, lots of work for not much pay, raises are basically non-existent

Pharmacist - Go Do a Residency

Pros

- Excellent pay - Moderately decent benefits

Cons

-All interesting parts of the job (health tests, travel immunizations, etc) have been eliminated -Since the merger with Boots Alliance, Walgreens is trying to earn money from cosmetics, rather than prescriptions, as this is the norm in Europe, where BA is from. This is a total shift from Walgreens' typical set-up, and who wants to work for a company where someone's heart medication is less important than an overpriced tube of lipstick? -Management does NOT have your back. (Example: A known problem-patient, who had gone off her anti-psych meds threatened to wait in the parking lot to beat me up since her medicine 'cost too much'. Pharmacy manager told the patient she was no longer welcome at that location. Patient filed a complaint (full of lies), and so corporate made the manager call and apologize TO THE PATIENT and accept her back at that location.

Pros

It's fair pay for the work involved. Opportunities to sign into different positions and shifts, also allow part time.

Cons

Lack of communication among management, constant changing of policy leaving you quite confused and bewildered at times. You get a different answer to the same question no matter how many management and HR staff you ask. Poor attitudes and much complaining among many co-workers.
