Pros

The salary was good for a retail position

Cons

Long hours, expensive benefits, no work life balance, unrealistic job preview, micromanagement in most stores I was at, everything run by corporate even if it won't work in the store you're in. I worked 50+ hours a week and during the holidays we were required to work 6 days a week and usually 60+ hours. If you had to leave early to pick up your sick kid or you had an appointment, you had to make up your time even though you already had put in 50 hours. Upon hire, they told me that Wagreens is expanding rapidly and that I will have my own store within 2 years. That never happened. It's all about favorites there.

Pros

Retail Pharmacy is undergoing a paradigm shift from dispensing to delivery of retail clinical services,

Cons

Reorganization has led to staff reduction and the necessity of advanced time management skills which may not be found in less experienced pharmacists.
