Pros

Walgreens has a user friendly computer system in the pharmacy. There is a decent employee discount and access to clearance items.

Cons

POS system is extremely dated and difficult to use without extra assistance. Health insurance benefits cost almost as much as buying your own private health coverage. Too many levels of management that have trouble agreeing on how things should operate. Poorly paid for the amount of stress a retail environment causes.

Pros

You get to make a direct impact on patient care in the pharmacy. The staff is friendly and there are a variety of options for relocation.

Cons

You often work under-staffed. Often business comes before the needs of the patients. Also, it is difficult to get holidays off or get someone to cover your shift.
