Pros
- Good pay and benefits (bonus and stock options substantially increase compensation - relaxed work environment - good, talented people that work very hard - extremely large company, lots of opportunity but need to be in Bentonville/San Bruno offices.
Cons
- Tough work/life balance for IT staff - IT teams are primarily in Bentonville, San Bruno and India (Bangalore/Chennai) - so meetings with teams in 3 different timezones can be challenging depending on which timezone you are located. - requires 5 day on-site - lacks efficient tools for managing portfolios/programs/projects - Senior leadership seems to rotate/change every 2 years which translates to changes in ways of working (a bit of churn) - change is constant
